Do you think very long hair is ugly for a 42-year-old woman?

my mum has very long hair that just down to her middle thighs.She started to grow her hair when she was in her 30's.Now she is 42years old.


We are from China.My mum only trims her hair every 6 month.SO her hair is black ,straight,and no split ends,never permed and dyed.She wears her black straight hair into a huge braid bun that fixed on her head with a big hairnet.





Many friends don't think my mum's hair style is suitable for the modern day.Even a stylist told her that her hair was ';ugly'; ,she should cut her hair just past her shoulder and curl it.





Do you think very long hair is ugly for a 42-year-old woman?My mum has some feeling for the long hair because of the age of the hair.But she would consider cutting it if hair that long was really ugly.What is your opinion?Please tell us,the more words the better.Thanks.

i don't think it's ugly at all since your mum's hair is sleek and looks healthy. however she should cut it if it's already inconveniencing her like the time and the amount of shampoo it takes her to wash it, the effort it takes to comb it and put in in a bun. otherwise, it's ok.Do you think very long hair is ugly for a 42-year-old woman?
i wouldnt say its ugly, because it looks natrual and healthy, but mid-thigh legnth is reeeealy long, lol. If she cut it to about mid-back legnth it would be alot easier to look after and people wouldnt say its ';ugly';


But if she likes it, then she should keep it, and dont worry about what other people think. :)
I think long hair begins to look ratty the older you are


a good shoulder length cut, or a couple inches below it will still have the same long effect with it looking healthy





try cutting it and donating to cancer.. that way you will feel better about the transformation

It doesn't matter the age. A woman could be 1 year old or 100 years old, but having your hair longer than where your elbows are looks horrible.





Tell her to donate it to a cancer foundation or something.
I think hair down to the thighs looks awful on anybody. Its just way too much. Whats the point? I think mid back is good, but anything past the butt is WAY too long.
I think you should grow up and stop worrying. If your mum is happy, leave her alone.
